Part two

Draw a line on the paper around the outside of the cross, about 15 to 20 mm out from the string. Cut the paper around this line so there is enough to fold over the string and glue down as in the picture. We used to make paste from flour and water, but you can use whatever paste or glue you have.

Fold the paper over and paste or glue it as shown at D, then to leave the glue to set.

Once the glue is dry, tie a piece of string across between points A and B, pulling it tight enough to create a small bow in the horizontal stick, this will cause the paper to become tighter on the frame.
