New Zealand's change to decimal currency

CONVERSION OF THE NOTES
At the time of changeover on 10th July 1967 the following was the direct conversion
from Stirling to Decimal currency in New Zealand.

A 'ten shilling' note (a ten bob note) became a 'One Dollar' note and £1.0.0 became $2.00.

A £5.0.0 note became $10.00 and a £50.0.0 note became $100.00

The 'Ten shilling' note and the 'One Pound' note were replaced by
one and two dollar notes (shown below).

The $1.00 and $2.00 notes were withdrawn around April 1990,
when they were replaced by gold coins.

Early and later $5.00 notes.

The 'Five Pound' note

and the $10.00 note which replaced it.
The "Millennium 10 Dollar Note" is shown below.

Reproduced below notice the difference in physical size between the old £10 (ten pound) note
and the equivilant value but smaller $20.00 note (obviously worth less these days eh?)

Ten pound note - size 183 x 97 (7 1/4 inches x 3 7/8 inches)

The earlier $20.00 note was followed in 1999 by the plastic version below,
actual size 145 x 70 (5 3/4 inches x 2 3/4 inches)

The 100 Dollar plastic note appears below.
