Dunedin Corporation Tramways - Penny Tokens

Penny tokens were used as currency much the same as pre-paid tickets these days but of course these ones were only redeemable when riding Dunedin Corporation Tramways.
1865 on reverse would be the incorporation date of the Municipality of Dunedin.
The Toggery Discount Tokens
Actual size = 25mm across (1 inch)

This token shows it was good for 1/- (1 shilling) discount in the £ (pound)
at 'The Toggery' on the Grand Hotel corner, Dunedin.
I believe this was a menswear store.
M. Somerville Tokens
Actual size = 34mm across (1 3/8inch)

This token shows a date of 1857 and while it is not from Dunedin it is included for interest.
Somerville is shown as being a wholesale family grocer at the City Mart in Auckland.
