Kaikorai Primary School old entrance from Tyne Street - April 2007
The majority of the memorial archway has been removed - only the steps and sections of the pillars remain. This tribute to our war dead was in place for only about 83 years. What a pity restoration could not have been made to preserve what was a fitting monument to our servicemen who gave their lives in two World Wars.
