This photograph (K164-K165) is an early view of Kaikorai taken between 1900 when the Kaikorai Cable Cars started but before 1907 when the present brick church was completed - the church was previously a 'T' shaped wooden building as shown above. Note that there were several houses on the Nairn Street side of the Kaikorai Reserve at this time - see lower right of photograph.
