John Mann operated from 25-27 Taieri Road which was on the opposite side of Roslyn to the Post Office. He is shown at this address in 1936, and 1942 directories but then in 1950 was listed as Roslyn Book Club at 44 City Road. Prior to his operation from this site he was further back up the road where John Mann's shop is shown as being next to Laurenson's Bakery in High Street some time before 1907. This address was numbered 113 Highgate in 1919 directory listing. Highgate was actually called High Street till 1913. See his earlier shop in Some Roslyn Shops pre 1907. |
