Boxing - 1928 Fred Moir retired to Wanaka and I recall, while I was living in Cromwell, getting a call to his house to carry out television repairs - not initially realising that it was the gentleman who had been involved with the Kaikorai and Maori Hill boxing classes. Fred Moir lived at 11 Henry St, Maori Hill, later moving to Upton St, Wanaka. He died at the age of 92.   My father, Jim Gilchrist died on 28th July 1976.
